Im September ist in Thüringen Landtagswahl. Die rechtsextreme AfD mit dem Faschisten Höcke an der Spitze droht stärkste Kraft zu werden. Im Januar haben sich Millionen Menschen in ganz Deutschland über Rechtsextreme empört und sind auf die Straßen gegangen. Jetzt – vor der Landtagswahl – und hier – in Thüringen – ist die Gefahr konkret. Wir gehen deshalb eine Woche vor der Wahl gemeinsam auf die Straße. Lasst uns jetzt noch einmal besonders laut und viele werden!
Bekommt die AfD mehr als ein Drittel der Sitze im Landtag, erhält sie die Macht, wichtige Entscheidungen zu blockieren. Außerdem hat das Verhalten von CDU und FDP in den letzten Monaten und Jahren gezeigt: Sie schrecken nicht davor zurück, mit Rechtsextremen zusammenzuarbeiten. Wir erinnern auch daran: 2020 haben CDU und FDP bereits zusammen mit der AfD Thomas Kemmerich zum Ministerpräsidenten gewählt. Eine solche Zusammenarbeit ist auch in diesem Jahr keinesfalls ausgeschlossen
Wir gehen am 25. August – eine Woche vor der Wahl – alle zusammen auf die Straße und stellen klar:
- Wer AfD wählt, wählt die Deportation von Millionen Menschen, wählt die Verharmlosung des Holocausts, wählt die Abschaffung von Demokratie und Rechtsstaat. Kurzum: eine faschistische und menschenverachtende Politik für Thüringen. Dieser Verantwortung müssen sich alle Wähler*innen bewusst sein und für eine solche Entscheidung gibt es keinerlei Rechtfertigung.
- Wir warnen vor jeglicher Zusammenarbeit von CDU, FDP und dem BSW mit der AfD. Dies werden wir nicht unwidersprochen hinnehmen! Denn wer mit der AfD zusammenarbeitet, ermöglicht den Durchmarsch der Rechtsextremen in Thüringen.
- Es sind nicht nur Politiker*innen der AfD, die gegen Geflüchtete oder Armutsbetroffene hetzen. Wir stellen schon seit Jahren einen massiven Rechtsruck in Politik und Gesellschaft fest. Um die AfD langfristig zu bekämpfen, braucht es eine starke Zivilgesellschaft, eine Bekämpfung der krassen Vermögensungleichheit, Solidarität mit Menschen auf der Flucht und vieles mehr. Wir schließen uns deshalb den 10 Forderungen der Thüringer Zivilgesellschaft für ein solidarisches Thüringen an.

Call for protest
The state elections in Thuringia are on September 1. The far-right AfD, led by the fascist Björn Höcke, threatens to become the strongest party. In January, millions of people across Germany were outraged by right-wing extremists and took to the streets.
Now that the elections in Thuringia are just around the corner, there is a great danger that right-wing extremists will win the election. That is why we are joining forces and taking our protest to the streets.
If the AfD gets more than a third of the seats in the state parliament, it will have the power to block important decisions. Furthermore, the behaviour of the conservative CDU party and the liberal FDP party in recent months and years has shown that they do not shy away from cooperating with right-wing extremists. We want to remind you that in 2020, the CDU and FDP joined forces with the AfD to elect Thomas Kemmerich as prime minister of Thuringia. A renewed collaboration is by no means ruled out this year either.
On August 25 – one week before the election – we will take our protest to the streets and make it clear:
- Anyone who votes AfD is voting for the deportation of millions of people who are not considered „real Germans“, is voting for the trivialization of the Holocaust, is voting for the abolition of democracy and the rule of law. In short, anyone who votes for the AfD is actively voting for fascist and inhumane policies for Thuringia. There is no excuse and no justification for voting for the AfD.
- Additionally, anyone who cooperates with the AfD contributes to the right-wing extremists gaining further ground. We are warning the CDU, FDP, and the new BSW party in particular: we will not tolerate you making common cause with the AfD.
- It is not just AfD politicians who are inciting hatred against refugees or people living in poverty. We have been experiencing a massive shift to the right in politics and society for years. To combat the AfD, we need a strong civil society that fights against blatant wealth inequality and stands in solidarity with refugees. We therefore endorse the 10 demands of Thuringian civil society for a Thuringia of solidarity.
